Emma Singer is a multimedia artist in Brooklyn, NY. Her work is a kaleidoscope of colors and textures, with most of the materials pulled from the trash or reclaimed from the thrift store. Through quilts, soft sculpture, puppets, and performance art, Emma tells her stories of living in a disabled bodymind within today’s medical industrial complex; the deep grief and loss, the frustration, and the absurdity. She is a proud member of the Brooklyn Quilters Guild as well as PussyPaws Puppetry, a collaborative puppet troupe of people with and without disabilities. She is also a student with and monitor for Bruce Dorfman at the Art Students League.
